County Matches
The County welcomes the involvement of Under 18's (juniors) in County games, but it is essential that the safety of these juniors shall be paramount, both whilst travelling to and from a match and whilst at a match.
The following rules are intended to protect them and not inhibit them.
The County welcomes the involvement of the young player's parents, and by coming along and supporting them; their well-being is assured and the adults will have a better appreciation of their child's involvement in the team.
The junior's parent or guardian must countersign any County representative team acceptance reply slip.

Travel Arrangements
It is the responsibility of each member of any of the County teams to arrange their own transport to home or away fixtures.  This may involve asking another member of the team etc. Before returning the ' I can/I cannot play ' slip, the players must ensure they have transport to the match.
Additional special rules apply regarding the transport of players under the age of 18 years where transport is arranged by any County representative and are advised where parents make their own private arrangements.
If the person in the car is the parent of the child, there is no problem - if not:

1

There must be at least two adults in the car

2 at least one of the adults must have CRB clearance under the Childrens’ Protection Act and the County has a record of the disclosure number given by the CRB.

At the venue
At the match, it should be the responsibility of all team members to look after the junior players, but, additionally, a nominated person with CRB clearance, shall take responsibility for any  junior's behaviour, well-being and safety, unless they are in the charge of their parent or guardian.
