| Report: After all
teams had played their 6 games Jack and Tony Page
(Chanctonbury) had achieved 10 out of 12 points.
Anne and Alan Knight (Midhurst) were in second place with 9
points. Three teams had achieved 8 points, Pat
Garrett and David Thorpe (Ashington) on plus 20 shots, Ron
Weeks and Terry Berry (Midhurst) on plus 13 shots and Tony
Bleach and Tony Boxall (Lavant) on plus 8 shots. The
two Tony's therefore narrowly failed to make the last four. In the first Semi Final Jack and Tony Page were holding a winning position until Terry Berry bowled his last wood to change it all and to win a very close game, 10-8. In the other Semi Final the game was tight for the first three ends and then Pat and David scored a four to which Anne and Alan had no reply after that and eventually lost 6-11. The final against started as a close game but Ron and Terry gradually took command and eventually ran out worthy winners 12-6. Once again some good bowling. |

PLAYING INFORMATION FOR THE DAY |
| There are 14
teams and each team will play 6 games against random
opponents. The top four scoring team will go
through to playoff in the semi finals and Final as a
straight KO.
I have built into the schedule two small 15 minute coffee breaks after 2 games and a larger 30 minute break at about lunchtime after four games have been completed. It is anticipated that the competition should finish by about 3:00 pm for those who do not qualify for the Semi finals and about 4:45 pm for those who do - providing games run to time. |
