| Report:
After all teams had played their 6 games Graham Roberts and
Tony Hills (Upper Beeding) were the only team who had won
all their games and achieved 12 points.
Three teams had achieved 10 points by losing just one game
of their six. Keith /Paternoster and Ron Booty
(Chanctonbury) were in 2nd place with plus 30 shots, Bryony
and Seton Wood (Comptons) in 3rd place with plus 26 shots
and Tony Bleach and Peter Whale (Lavant) 4th with plus 18
shots. These four teams progressed to the KO
playoff with 1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd in the Semis. In one Semi Final Tony and Graham (UPB) beat Tony and Peter (LAV) 9-4 whilst the other Semi Final saw Keith and Ron (CHA) defeat Bryony and Seton (COM) 10-4. Whilst the Semi Finals had proved interesting games the Final was slightly one side as neither Graham nor Tony appeared to be able to 'find' the mat and Ron and Keith ran out winners by 9-1 after just eight ends. However from the comments received it appeared that the day had been enjoyed by all and some excellent bowling was again on display. |
