The
England Trials have been discontinued in their old format
and new arrangements are being introduced for the 2006
Trials.
Under the
new arrangements player will no longer enter as a team of
four. There are now three ways by which you can appear in
the trials:-
1)
Be requested by the England Team Management to trial
2)
Be put forward by your County Manager / Captain
3)
Apply personally
The trials
will still be held over 2 days – this year Sat 3rd May 2008
and Sunday 4th May, 2008 - but individual players will only be
required to attend for one of the two days.
The format
of the trials will consist of a series of 16 practical tests
followed by games played as fours. The England Team
management will put together the fours combinations. You
will be expected to nominate the position in which you wish
to play and this is the position on which you will be
marked.
Details
of the 16 tests are available and can be obtained from
either
Jean
Armour-Milne or myself.
Application forms are available from Jean or myself and also on
the ESMBA website. If you are interested in trialling, Jean
or I can give you more information and we would also
appreciate it if you let us know if you intend to apply.
